Fit-out & Add-ons

Step 4 fills the building with its interior and attached parts. At the top you pick the floor (Ground floor, Floor 1 …); below it, via the mode switch, the component you're currently working on. You set the values on the right in the parameter panel; placed parts are removed via the components list in the right-hand column.

Choosing floor and mode

The switch offers up to 8 modes. Which are available depends on the model and the selected floor:

Visible vs. locked

Stairs and Slab cutout always stay visible and are only grayed out when they aren't possible on the current floor. Balcony, Terrace, Canopy and Column appear only once their condition is met.

Place by clicking

Components you click into the model (chimney, balcony, terrace, canopy, column) show yellow = valid, red = invalid while you place them.

Interior walls

You draw walls click-by-click straight into the floor plan — as a chain, until you dock back on (Esc or right-click ends it). It snaps to endpoints, corners and faces.

  • Wall thickness fixed at 0.15 m.
  • Up to 60 interior walls per floor.
  • Clicking into a closed area assigns a room name (1–40 characters). Below the name the room's clear floor area is shown in m².

Stairs

The first click fixes the axis, the second fixes the entry direction, and the third fixes the exit and places the spiral stairs.

Any number of stairs per floor — each one leads up into the next floor.

Number of steps

The number of steps and the real run length follow from the floor height. The going only shifts the step edges — the number of steps stays.

Slab cutout

Rectangular holes in a floor slab, e.g. for a stair opening. Placed by clicking into the slab.

Several cutouts may overlap (forming an L-shape); up to 20 per slab.

Chimney

A hollow masonry stack on a wall edge that runs from a given floor up through all the floors above and out over the roof. Placed by clicking a wall edge.

Roof overhang

If the chimney reaches further out than the roof, the app reports a roof overhang that's too small (+10 cm recommended). The warning can be ignored.

Chimney and balcony

The shaft may pass through the balcony slab — it gets a recess for it, just like the roof. It must not come close to the railing: at least 10 cm clearance stays free. If you click too close, the app reports: "A balcony railing stands there. The chimney needs at least 0.1 m clearance from it — it may pass through the balcony slab."

Balcony

Only from the 1st upper floor, on an exterior wall. Placed by clicking.

  • Corner balcony: click connected exterior-wall segments around a corner; depth either the same everywhere or per side, plus a distance to the outer corner.
  • Structure above: optionally a canopy or another balcony on the floor above, optionally with columns (corners only or evenly spaced).

Terrace

Ground floor only — essentially a balcony for the ground floor, on an exterior wall. Placed by clicking.

Passages: clicking a railing segment sets an opening in the railing (width and position free), at least 0.15 m from every railing corner.

Canopy

A sloped roof slab on one or more exterior-wall segments; it sits in the wall of the 1st upper floor (hence from 2 floors). Placed by clicking.

The corner canopy runs across connected exterior-wall segments around a corner.

Column

Stands on the deck of a terrace or balcony — so it's only available once one of them exists. Placed by clicking a terrace or balcony edge.

Columns are always possible on the front edge, on side edges only from 2 m projection.

Target 'up to the roof'

If the roof overhang is too small, the "up to the roof" option stays locked.

For corner balconies and terraces, the parts list shows wall length × depth per side, in wall-chain order.

Support overhang

This control is under Fit-out & Add-ons, on the floor below the cantilever.

The switch only appears if your building has a cantilever — that is, a floor with an outline of its own that juts out beyond the floor below it (see Floor plan).

With it on, the configurator puts a column at every free-floating corner of the cantilever. It is inset 10 cm from both adjoining edges and stands on whatever is underneath it:

a floor slab or the base plate The column stands directly on it; its foot gets the same pocket as on a terrace.
nothing A terrace is created automatically as a standing surface — as large as the cantilever, 10 cm smaller at the front and on both sides (which is exactly the inset of the columns).

At the top, the column's main face ends 0.1 mm short of the underside of the cantilevered slab; only the tenon reaches into the slab and sits there in a matching pocket — so the column is fixed in place without binding.

Rectangular overhangs only for now

The automatic terrace is created only for a rectangular cantilever over a facade. With more complex overhangs the floating corners stay unsupported.
