Export¶
Step 7 turns your house into the finished print files. You choose the scale, set the print target and download the files. All settings are in the main panel and in the parameter panel on the right.
The dimensions cover the entire calculated preview building, including annexes, different floor outlines and overhangs. A dash replaces the dimensions until a current calculated model is available. Print-specific profiles and relief details may differ.

Scale¶
At the very top you set the scale — the large value (e.g. 1:87) shows how much the model is shrunk. Below it you see the building dimensions before and after shrinking, live.
You first pick a theme; the matching scales then appear inside it as tiles — each with a short label for what it typically suits. One click sets the scale.

Print target¶
Under Print target (right parameter panel) there are four tiles. You first choose which program you want to print with:

With a program: four steps¶
Once you have picked one of the three programs, four selection fields lead you to the finished printer:
- Printer manufacturer — the number in brackets says how many of its devices are eligible at all in this program and at your scale.
- Printer — with its bed size spelled out.
- Nozzle — only what this very device has in this program is offered; the default is 0.4 mm.
- Layer height — preset with the recommendation for your scale and your nozzle (it is marked "— recommended"), changeable to any other value the device knows.
All in all PrintHaus knows 532 printer models from 84 manufacturers. Per program only what that program actually brings along is offered — the same device can have different nozzles and different layer heights in Bambu Studio than in OrcaSlicer.
Pick your printer first, then open the file
The file contains the geometry, the PrintHaus print settings and three dimensions of your device (bed size, build height, nozzle diameter). It does not contain the start and end G-code or the profile name of your printer. So set your printer there first and only then open the file.
With STL export: build plate size¶
With STL export you enter the build plate size X × Y in millimeters yourself (default 256 × 256 mm, 1 mm steps). The parts are split across exactly this plate.
Minimum size and a bed that is too small
How big the bed has to be at least depends on the scale; devices with a bed that is too small disappear from the selection. If a part category still doesn't fit flat on the bed, PrintHaus warns you and names the affected categories. All the values are under Printers & print bed.
File formats¶
Which file you get depends on the print target: 3MF (the three programs) or grouped STL (STL export). Every export package also contains a model.json — upload it later under "Load project" and your house is fully restored (colors included).

Further options¶

Windows & doors in the export¶
Depending on the scale, one of two controls appears:
- Glazed window (at scales up to 1:99): two tiles to choose from — glazed frame → frame and pane as one multicolor printed part (pane fixed in the frame); open frame → without panes. Applies to all windows.
- Close openings with the Windows and Doors toggles (only at small scales from 1:100): closes the openings with a thin pane.
Very small scale (monolith)
From 1:100 each floor and the roof are exported as one solid body — without connectors and without separate printed parts. A corresponding note appears right under the scale.
Window frames and bars are included nonetheless, fused firmly into the body — in the walls of extensions too. Their profile is print-constant: across the whole range the bar stays between 0.9 mm (1:100) and 0.6 mm (1:285) wide, so it does not become arbitrarily thin with the scale. Doors remain a plain cut-out; panes are only added via Close openings.
Download¶
Depending on the print target, the download button is called "Download 3MF project files" (with the three programs) or "Download grouped STL" (with STL export) and shows the chosen scale as well.
Login & quota
To download you must be signed in and have redeemed an access code. Your download status (used of available downloads) is shown under the button.
After you click, the server prepares the files — this takes at least 30 seconds and up to 2 minutes. The notice window closes automatically as soon as the download starts.
